The Equal Education Law Centre (EELC) began work on early childhood development (ECD) in 2018. Our ECD work was launched in recognition of the fact that the foundations of lifelong learning, well-being and success are laid early on in a person’s life.
Research shows that early learning opportunities, responsive caregiving, nutrition, good health, and safety and protection in the first 1000 days of a child’s life are essential.
