93-percent of school pit toilets have been eradicated through the Sanitation Appropriate for Education Initiative. Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, made the announcement during an address to the National Council of Provinces. She says the department remains resolute in eradicating all pit toilets by 31 March deadline set by President Cyril Ramaphosa. eNCA’s Kevin Brandt has more.
