The Western Cape High Court is soon to hear a case in which the Equal Education Law Centre is representing Michelle Saffer, a single mother who has been discriminated against in the process of trying to secure a fee exemption from her child’s high school. In this piece, published by the Cape Argus on 17 March 2016, Ms Saffer writes about her experiences over past few years, and how she hopes the courts will ensure that others don’t face similar barriers in accessing quality education for their children.
