Equal Education (“EE”) and Equal Education Law Centre (“EELC”) made a joint submission on the Western Cape Education Department’s Draft Guidelines on Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation in Public Schools.
While EE and the EELC welcome the WCED’s attempt to address these important issues in public schools across the Province, our joint submission makes it clear that these Draft Guidelines are entirely problematic and seem to undermine the very purpose they seek to achieve.
